A multi-UAV deployment method for border patrolling based on Stackelberg game

چکیده
To strengthen border patrol measures, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are gradually used in many countries to detect illegal entries on borders. However, how efficiently deploy limited UAVs borders of large areas remains challenging. In this paper, we first model the problem deploying for as a Stackelberg game. Two players considered game: The agency is leader, who optimizes path immigrant. immigrant follower, selects certain area pass through at time after observing leader's strategy. Second, compact linear programming proposed tackle exponential growth number strategies. Third, method reduce size strategy space follower. Then, provide some theoretic results present effect parameters utilities. Experimental demonstrate positive starting and ending UAV's patrolling conditions multiple altitudes utility, show that solution outperforms two conventional strategies has strong robustness.

Patrolling a Border
Patrolling games were recently introduced by Alpern, Morton and Papadaki to model the problem of protecting the nodes of a network from an attack. Time is discrete and in each time unit the Patroller can stay at the same node or move to an adjacent node. The Attacker chooses when to attack and which node to attack, and needs m consecutive time units to carry it out. The Attacker wins if the Pat...
متن کاملTowards the Integration of Multi-Attribute Optimization and Game Theory for Border Security Patrolling Strategies
Border security is a key element of national security policy for any sovereign nation. In the United States, the Border Patrol deploys thousands of agents integrated with technology (e.g., vehicles, cameras, sensors) and infrastructure (e.g., fences, checkpoints) to prevent illegal entry of people and goods into the country along vast land borders with Canada and Mexico. The problem of border s...
متن کاملDeployment Algorithms for Multi-Agent Exploration and Patrolling
Exploration and patrolling are central themes in distributed robotics. These deployment scenarios have deep fundamental importance in robotics, beyond the most obvious direct applications, as they can be used to model a wider range of seemingly unrelated deployment objectives. Deploying a group of robots, or any type of agent in general, to explore or patrol in dynamic or unknown environments p...
متن کاملGame Theory Models for Multi-Robot Patrolling of Infrastructures
This work is focused on the problem of performing multi‐robot patrolling for infrastructure security applications in order to protect a known environment at critical facilities. Thus, given a set of robots and a set of points of interest, the patrolling task consists of constantly visiting these points at irregular time intervals for security purpose...
متن کاملMulti-A(ge)nt Deployment and Patrolling on a Ring Graph
We consider three variants of the task of spreading a swarm of agents uniformly on a ring graph. Let n be the size of the ring and k the size of the swarm. Ant-like oblivious agents having limited capabilities are considered. The agents are assumed to have little memory, they all execute the same algorithm and no direct communication is allowed between them. Furthermore, the agents do not posse...
